Wellness Exams and Vaccinations
All dogs and cats should be examined by a veterinarian yearly. This is required so that we can legally dispense preventatives and other medications if needed. All dogs and cats should be vaccinated for rabies by law in the state of Maryland. Other core vaccines for dogs include the DAPP combination (distemper, adenovirus (hepatitis), parvovirus, and parainfluenza), and leptospirosis. Lifestyle vaccines include Lyme, Bordetella, and Influenza. Other vaccines for cats include the FVRCP vaccine (panleukopenia, calicivirus, and rhinotracheitis) for all cats and the Feline leukemia vaccine for those that enjoy the great outdoors.
